About Genesis Mining Services Pty Ltd (GMS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Genesis Minerals Limited. GMS has been established to provide in-house open pit mining services in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced and motivated Heavy Diesel Fitter to join an inclusive and cohesive team at our Gwalia operation in Leonora, where the ‘way we work’ is just as important as the expertise we demonstrate every day. The roles are on offer on a 8 days, 6 off FIFO roster and require proactive individuals with a solution-focused approach, strong technical expertise in modern mining fleets, and a "can-do" attitude to play a critical role in maintaining fleet reliability, safety, and efficiency, whilst fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

You will provide support across preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and unplanned repairs on our Heavy mobile Hitachi, Komatsu, and Caterpillar mining fleet, with particular focus on Komatsu WA500 and WA600 and Cat 988 and 922 Front end Loaders.

Key responsibilities also include:

• Ensure that works performed are done in a safe manner and in line with WHS legislation and company OH&S standards
• Ensure that machines operating within the project are maintained to company standards and as per OEM specifications
• Report to the Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Fitter on day-to-day activities, breakdowns and labour requirements
• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture within the team

About You

Collaboration is key! You will be team focused and have the ability to work together with others to resolve day to day challenges. You will also have the following:

• Driver’s license (HR License)
• Trade Qualified in Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Established experience in mining either in field services or mobile equipment maintenance
• Developed safe operating practices
• Excellent communication and people skills
